Asker: Нда, придется так и писать, спасибо вам огромное, хоть мне и не нравится эта версия. Мне нужна эта цитата для жесткого публицистического текста. И смысл, как и в оригинальном тексте, что рожают в открытую могилу, сидя над ней на корточках, т.е. рожают детей на смерть. И сдается мне, что я уже не очень имею право это изменить. Огромное и отдельное спасибо за ссылку, я ночью не нашла.
