Obtuve esta respuesta de un amigo francés:
Normalement, c'est frapper deux fois au visage (le portrait), un aller et retour. C'est une expression adoucie de la formule argotique : mettre 2 claques dans la tronche ou la gueule.
Tu propuesta me pareció de lo más creativa y lúcida, teniendo en cuenta que no tenías todo el contexto.
