Si dibujas un arco de círculo en un papel y unes los dos extremos con una recta, la flecha es la distancia entre el punto central de esa recta y el punto más elevado del arco de círculo.

Es decir, la flecha es la amplitud de la curva que adquiere la correa al flexionarla. Si la correa está muy tensa, no hay flecha. Si la correa está destensada, hay mucha flecha.

En el texto francés no está muy bien expresado, creo. La flexion es una acción y no puede tener o no tener flecha. La que tiene o no tiene flecha es la correa, o la curva que forma, como consecuencia de la flexion.

En este tipo de textos no se suele usar el término "flecha", más habitual en arquitectura, aeronáutica y otros, aunque puedes hacerlo.

Una forma más sencilla de decirlo en español sería: al ejercer presión entre el pulgar y el índice, la correa no se debe flexionar (o no se debe curvar, o debe permanecer recta).
