Lo he encontrado como un término usado en medicina con el sentido de "reabsorción". Creo que la imagen funciona también en castellano. Para la cuestión del "y", necesitaría saber si hay anteriormente algún término al que pueda referirse (o se refiere al primer "société"?). De todas formas, estos "y" y "en" traducidos suelen quedar un poco pesados en castellano.

Yo utilizaría este verbo, porque creo que se asemeja más a la idea original, y descartaría el adverbio, es decir, me olvidaría del "y"
