Gaelic to English translations [Non-PRO]
Art/Literary
Gaelic term or phrase: ce he mise le ulaingt
title of a poem or story.
travis
English translation:Song/music Loreena McJennitt
Explanation:
The Mask And Mirror
Ce He Mise Le Ulaingt?/The Two Trees
Music by Loreena McKennitt. Words by William Butler Yeats; Pipe intro (Ce He Mise Le Ulaingt?) composed and performed by Patrick Hutchinson. ETC

GO TO GOOGLE http://www.google.com/search?hl=es&q=ce he mise le ulaingt&b...

However, the words absolutely DO NOT mean two trees. I suspect this is the title of the traditional music perhaps, the pipe introduction.

MY IDEA
'It's me' (ce he mise) and maybe a reference to 'lamenting'????

DICTIONARY

Ní fuaireamar ulaingt,
ach seo ulchabhán focal ata gar dó san fhoclóir.(We did not find ulaint but here is ulchabhán, a word.....)

ulchabhán :
éan seilge oíche, súile móra aige agus gob cuartha.

A bird, with X eyses and X beak

I'm afraid my Irish is very rusty, and this could even be Scots, let's see if soemone else can help more.
