Bus/Financial - Accounting
German term or phrase: bezogene Leistungen
The phrase appears two or three times, each in a somewhat different context, in a section of a document that discusses consolidated financial statements. In the first instance, the phrase is used as a quasi-heading: "Bezogene Leistungen: Bei Abwasser Bremen wurde eine im Jahre 1999 gebildete Rückstellung in Höhe von TDM 1.100 im Jahr 2000 ergebniswirksam aufgelöst." As a second example, it occurs when explaining the increase in the cost of materials: "Der Materialaufwand umfasst im wesentlichen den Energie- und Wasserbezug, den Einsatzstoffverbrauch und Aufwendungen für bezogene Leistungen. Der Anstieg dieser Aufwandsposition . . . ist . . . auf den wachstumsbedingten Anstieg der Aufwendungen für bezogenen [sic] Leistungen von der deutschen Telekom durch die CNB zurückzuführen."
Any help from anybody who happens to get this inquiry would be appreciated. Thanks.

English translation:services (also benefits) received
Explanation:
At least in the last two instances this expression refers to services that the "Wasserwerk" received from another service provider, i.e., another party that billed the "Wasserwerk" for their services.

Thanks to everyone for their replies. Everybody had valid translations, really, and I had also been using "services purchased/purchased services" until I had to find a way to fit that into the heading where it mentioned the reserve that one company realized as income in 2000.

goods and services received

Explanation:
I'm not sure that I would include benefits in this context, but it might also refer to goods that were received by Abwasser Bremen. Good luck -a native-born Bremerin!

services rendered and/or goods received

Explanation:
Only want to say that I got your question and agree with annettek and uel. I am not quite sure who got what from whom here but it looks more like services than goods, perhaps sewage and telephone services.

purchased services

Explanation:
The giveaway is "Aufwendungen für bezogene Leistungen". This appears in the Notes section of many German corporate annual accounts, as part of the Materialaufwand item in the GuV. VW, VIAG, Duales System AG, VAW, Deutsche Post AG (to name but several) have this as "cost of purchased services" in the English editions of their annual accounts.

services provided

I would prefer to take "services" in any case because "goods" does not fit for water, power or whatever in that context. Further on, they are not simply selling it, but they are providing it which in my eyes is a kind of service.
