I find this sentence a bit awkward. It almost sounds like they are on the defensive. Any suggestions how to render this elegantly in English? Here is my first shot:
I am pleased to welcome you to this new edition of XXX. In this edition, we try to provide you with an overview of current trends in the insurance industry. We will continue to be a reliable, modern and dedicated partner for all our customers and insurance companies. ***You can thoroughly rely on us because, as insurance brokers, we are very different from politicians, who usually twist and distort facts to their liking.***
Apr 1, 2008 16:54: Olaf Reibedanz changed "Term asked" from "we are very different from politicians" to "wir sind Versicherungsmakler und keine Politiker"
Proposed translations
