Bei aktivem GPS wird die GPS-Position bis 50%igem Joystickeinsatz verschoben. Das Fluggerät folgt dann dieser Position. Bei stärkerem Joystickeinsatz tritt die normale Winkelregelung, die auch ohne GPS Einsatz verwendet wird, in Kraft. Der Pilot hat somit auch unter GPS Einsatz die volle Steuerungsgewalt über das Fluggerät.

The text describes a GPS function in a video probe.
I also don't understand how it can be an advantage that the GPS position is moved (verschoben). This would seem to me to be inaccurate, and therefore a downside. I probably don't understand enough about the context. There could be another interpretation of "verschoben" in the context of "Winkelregelung". I have searched on the Web, but have not received any enlightenment. Any GPS/aviation experts out there? Many thanks for your help.

It sounds like the "active GPS" is a form of autopilot. Joystick movements below 50% form an input to the active GPS controller and cause a change of course. Above 50% the joystick functions normally. Thus, it would give very fine control for normal operation and allow control override when required.
