Herkömmlicherweise werden Flugzeuge in getakteten Linien auf getrennten Bauplätzen gefertigt. Bei diesem Prinzip wird ein zu montierendes Flugzeug in Längsrichtung zwischen einer Vielzahl von Bauplätzen bewegt, in denen jeweils bestimmte Montage- bzw. Testschritte ausgeführt werden.
