journalistic sciences

Zeitungswissenschaft to my knowledge is a term rarely used but I believe my suggestion could be used.

As Star suggests, it's just "Journalism".
Zeitungswissenschaft f journalism

Zeitungswissenschaft is an older term (Muret-Sanders calls it obsolete); see also:
Zeitungswissenschaft, seit 1917 Universitätsdisziplin, die sich mit Funktion und Bedeutung von Presse und Nachricht befasst; nach 1945 Publizistikwissenschaft.

science of journalism

The term science of journalism envisages a broader scope. I think this is the right answer

academic journalism/ journalism as a branch of academic study

I think this question is trickier than it looks. Yes, normally we can also refer to journalism when it is a branch of study, for example in a student prospectus. However, if we say here that 'journalism emigrated', it sounds as though there were no journalists left in the country, when it really means the group of academics who studied journalism left. We have to make this clear. Adding 'science of' certainly makes the point, but there is an eversion in English to using 'science' with reference to the arts. That is why I am making these two alternative suggestions.
