German term or phrase: Anweisungsliste, Störmeldebits
Oops - should not be trying to type so fast this late: my question about "zeilenübergreifend" should have read "unter Anweisungsliste", not -leiste, of course.
Also forgot to ask about Störmeldebits -- are these bits used for reporting trouble?

Yes that's what Störmeldebits are for. I äm not sure what they are called but it could be monitoring bits,or warning, or alarm bits.
