Feuer, das an Leckstellen von sauerstoffführenden Anlagen wie Rohrleitungen nur unter Voraussetzungen entstehen und sich ausbreiten kann, die von normalen atmosphärischen Bedingungen abweichen höherer Druck, höhere Temperatur, Sauerstoffkonzentration weit über den 21 % der Luft. Eisenfeuer erzeugen Verbrennungstemperaturen. die ganz erheblich über denen eines normalen Feuers ca. 1000 bis 1200 °C mit Sauerstoff der Luft als Oxidationsmittel liegen. Sie fallen nicht unter die versicherte Gefahr Brand nach den Allgemeinen Bedingungen für die Feuerversicherung AFB 87, da ein Brand nach herrschender Meinung ein en Verbrennungsvorgang unter Mitwirkung des Sauerstoffs der Luft unter normalen atmosphärischen Bedingungen voraussetzt.

disagree  opolt: There's no mention of chlorine in the orig. text, and AFAIK Fe+O2 combine very well in combustion under certain conditons even without any additional agent.
