As this isn't really my area of expertise, I'm not certain whether "electroplated" or "galvanically coated" is better here. I have a feeling that electroplated is actually more correct, though a less literal translation, but maybe it doesn't cover all the bases, or perhaps it is too general?

neutral  meirs: I'd rather go for "galvanic" = the purpose of the protection - rather than "galvanized" = the method (Zinc coating) - you may want to check
