Context:

"Wird durch Verschleiß oder Defekt der Austausch einer Vereinzelung erforderlich, halten Sie bei deren Austausch die folgenden Arbeitsschritte ein"

This is to do with a conveyor system. I'm a bit puzzled by "Vereinzelung" here. Might it mean the "Weichen" that are used to redirect the prouct from the conveyor belt into hoppers?
