3 +1 | centre/center driving console |

Mittelführertisch centre/center driving console Explanation: A "Führertisch" is normally a driver's position, of which there is one at each end of a double-ended multiple unit, which can consist of two, three, four, etc., carriages. If two of these are coupled together, there will in fact be TWO "centre" driving consoles. Unless it's been used in mastake for a completely different term... My move here would be to ask the customer, for all my years working on the railway... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 mins (2005-04-12 08:36:22 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Or even a \"m*I*stake\"???? Don\'t we all make \'em!!! |
