I need (to invent?) an English equivalent. Maybe the term already exists (e.g. somewhere in Alaska), but I cannot trace it. Can anyone help me?

Im Winter wurde auf dem zugefrorenen Haff und den Strömen eine umfangreiche Eisfischerei betrieben. Entweder hackte man verschiedene Löcher in die Eisdecke, durch die man mittels Stangen Zugnetze unter das Eis brachte. Einfach aber eine einsame Arbeit war die Klapperfischerei.
In ein Eisloch steckte man Brett und trommelte auf diesem mit einem Schlegel. Die dadurch herbeigelockten Fische, hauptsächlich Stint und Quappen, wurden gestochen.
Für die Fischerei auf dem Haff benutzte man verschieden Formen von Segelkähnen: Keitel-, Bradden- und Kurenkähne, benannt nach dem Netz, das sie zogen.
