3 | direct flow filtration |
|
direct flow filtration Explanation: Hauptstromfiltration related to oil is full flow filtration. I'm not sure if direct flow or cross-flow is the right term for beer filtration, but my guess is direct flow. -- Alfa Laval and the German-based Sartorius Group attracted considerable attention when they presented the world’s first process-scale cross-flow filtration system for filtering beer, based on advanced cassette membranes from Sartorius. http://www.alfalaval.com/ecoreJava/WebObjects/ecoreJava.woa/... Direct Flow Filtration removes material by capture of material both on the surface and in the depth of the filter. Particulates are primarily removed by the direct interception mechanism, that is, the particles are too big to go through the passages. Thus the media should be designed to capture and retain as much material as possible. It is a matter of the structure. http://www.pall.com/pdf/MBAA2004_poster_Rev1_1.pdf |
