agree  Terry Gilman: reports to, direct reports, substitute, substitute for; but Manager (Supervisor), Department, Substitute, Substitute for might also work

  -> Thanks (i only answered the requested term); don't think it's department here, though a combination with Manager or Supervisor and direct report seems OK to me

agree  Kim Metzger: If "direct report" means "person directly supervised." I think Dawn needs US terminology. And I think vorgesetzte Stelle would be "under the supervision of".

  -> Hi Kim, couldn't reply earlier as it was bedtime here. i also work for a management consultancy, subsidiary of a US company. Direct report (yes directly supervised = disziplinarisch) is used on job descriptions (is it more a British term?)
