Romain and Hamblock give "agreement on transfer of possession" for Überlassungsvertrag, but it's very long and doesn't come up much on Google. Does anyone know what these are called in English?

It really depends on the actual subject matter of the agreement. A "Kfz-Überlassungsvertrag" is, for example, often used by companies that want to remain owner (or leasee) of the vehicle, but would like their employees to have possession of it (thus, Romain's rendering is actually not all that bad - IMHO). :-)

Das ist zwar lang, aber wohl die richtige Übersetzung. Ein Überlassungsvertrag ist auch etwas anderes als ein einfacher Leasingvertrag.
Die Übersetzung habe ich sowohl bei Pons, als auch bei Eichborn gefunden.
