German term or phrase: stark sagen
This is at the end of a Klageschrift in a civil suit:

"Für die Gerichtskosten sagen wir uns stark."

It's just out of the blue, and there is no surrounding context. Sounds a bit odd to me. Thanks for any help!

Explanation:
We confirm that we will bear the costs.

I can only say that I've met this before. Even if I hadn't, it's the only logical conclusion.

agree  Derek Gill Franßen: I haven't met it yet - I've read "Für die (Einzahlung) der Gerichtskosten wird anwaltlich versichert" (and it means pretty much the same thing), but yes, it is the logical conclusion. Have you seen it in a German-German Klageschrift? :-)

-> Sorry, I can't find it on my HD or in any references here! I thought I would have made a note.

agree  Klaus Herrmann: I once had my lawyer explain this expression to me because, being a layman, I thought it was a rather funny expression. One of the rare occasions where I can answer/confirm a law/patent question/suggestion :)
