despite his payment he still owes 32 k in back child support, however, for a smoother flow I would resolve it as follows: Even after his payment of 15 k effected on 15th Feb there is still and outstanding claim of 32 k for back child support against the debtor as per 29th Aug.

And for the wording it does not matter whether or not that claim is disputed... but highly likely the final amount was fought out/settled in court a long time ago and the deadbeat dad is now paying off the back debt slowly... Also the support claims are of course split by child as the support period will be determined by the age of the child and whether or not they earn their own money.
Also not sure about child maintenance... I only know it as support or possibly alimony.

Means 'in spite of' or something along those lines. So, to me, the sentence means the debtor paid €15,000, but still owes €32,000. Depending on the situation. A lawyer for the debtor may have disputed the remaining €32,000, hence 'trotz', but it's never safe to assume in this kind of doc.

is to put "although/even if he did make a payment of € 15,100.00" but I am not all that convinced at the moment that it flies linguistically or even just does the trick.
