These notice periods start one month or 30 days or three months or six weeks or 10 minutes before the time point mentioned. For example, a common employment contract notice clause is six weeks before the end of the quarter. If I have such a contract and want out on June 30 (end of the second quarter)but today is May 17th, it is too late for me to give my notice fot June 30. I can't get out till Sept 30. If I have a quarter to end of a quarter contract, I must give 90 days notice but only to the end of one of the annual quarters. If I have a quarter to end of a quarter contract I can only stop at the end of some quarter no matter how early I give notice |
