VAT on used car parts Explanation: Are you sure that "AT" stands for "Altteil"? It can also stand for "Austrian", ie "AT-MWST" means "Austrian VAT". If you know for sure that it refers to "Altteilmehrwertsteuer", then this is an additional item of VAT which is levied on used car parts. See the website link below, which I think you will find helpful. There is no equivalent in English VAT law, but "VAT on used car parts" is a more accurate translation than "sales tax on used car parts".
