Thanks, Tony. Yes, as I said, this isn't some kind of official document. If I remember correctly, people helped translate it in their spare time. But it may be a good starting point.

An example of the term you're asking for:
"Ein Arbeitnehmer mit einer 5-Tage-Woche benutzt für die Fahrten zwischen Wohnung und erster Tätigkeitsstätte (kürzeste Straßenverbindung 30 km) ausschließlich öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. Das Jahresabo hierfür kostet 1.000 EUR. Der Arbeitgeber leistet einen Zuschuss i. H. v. 500 EUR, den er mit 15 % pauschal versteuert.
Für die als Werbungskosten abziehbare Entfernungspauschale ergibt sich folgende Berechnung:
220 Tage × 30 km x 0,30 EUR • 1.980 EUR
- • Pauschalbesteuerter Arbeitgeberzuschuss • - 500 EUR
= • Abziehbare Werbungskosten • 1.480 EUR"
