German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Manufacturing / operator's manual for an industrial escalator cleaning device
German term or phrase: Dispositiv
Not a whole lot of context here. The term refers to a component in an industrial escalator cleaner, and a photo shows the top of a water tank. The heading for this section is "Cleaning the dirty water system". Any help, especially immediately, is greatly appreciated.

Not for points - more context for the asker

Explanation:
The use of Dispositiv in the asker's document is likely to be the same as in the following example, taken from a another, similar Swiss document:

"Entnahme neuer Wasserproben zur Untersuchung und sofortige Risikoabschätzung und Überprüfung des Dispositivs, damit Korrekturmaßnahmen getroffen werden können."

Maybe some of you technical-minded people can take an intelligent guess, with this context.

device, apparatus

Explanation:
I was going to ask whether this is a SwGer text; this is prob. a case of French usage creeping in to Swiss German.
French "dispositif" = simply "device, apparatus"
Good luck
