German term

2 Standcomputer für Maschinen

German to English Tech/Engineering Manufacturing
this is in a list of equipment, no additional context.
Any ideas how to translate the "Standcomputer" term...is it a "stand-alone computer"?
Thanks

You may be confused by the "Stand" in the German. If there is any doubt as to whether you sit at a Standcomputer, check out the following sentence: "Wenn ich am Standcomputer sitze stellt sie sich auch gerne..." at http://www.fernsehjunkies.de/dog-der-kopfgeldjaeger-rtl2-104...
Example sentence:

Workstations are often optimized for displaying and manipulating complex data such as 3D mechanical design, engineering simulation results, and mathematical plots.

neutral Ken Cox : IMO the German term means "non-portable computer' (i.e. a desktop or tower model)
