OK, folks.

I just finished several specs on metal surface treatment.
One of the headings was

Unterlagen

And then comes the problem

Under this we had the following:

mitgeltende Unterlagen
Bezugsunterlagen
Vergleichsunterlagen
Einzuhaltende Unterlagen

Now, I found mitgeltende in the KudoZ and I agree with that one. Einzuhaltende, in the USA, I translated as "compliance documents"

But I find both Vergleichs and Bezugs translated as "reference docs"

Is that right? What do you do if they are BOTH used in the same spec?

Thanks.

Mats gets the points (long time no see, Mats, good to have you back!)
However, a tip of the hat to Erik, too.
Thanks folks.

agree  Erik Macki: These are good. I'd personally use Bezugsunterlagen = Reference Documents and Vergleichsutnerlagen = Comparative Documents, but either way is fine.
