German term or phrase: umschlingende Anschläge
This is part of a description of the design of a tool be used for cutting off sections of pipe (Schneidebacke):

----
----

I can't quite come up with anything that conjures up the same image in English, thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Asker: Thanks for the suggestion, but looking at pictures of the Rothenberger Rohrabschneider, I don't think this can be correct: http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=Rothenberger+Rohrabschneider

Asker: Thanks for the suggestion. I think 'wraparound' is quite a good suggestion, but I can't find any usage of 'dogs' in this context - do you have any examples perhaps?

Asker: Thanks very much for the extra info.
