I have "Indikation: Stationäre Aufnahn mit akutem Hinterwand-Myokardinfarkt, prähospitale TNK-Lyse-Therapie, nach Resolution der **ST-Streckenhebungen** sowie beschwerdearmem Intervall erneute starke thorakale Beschwerdesymptomatik sowie **ST-Streckenelevation**"
OK - well both mean that the ST segment of the trace or sounds are elevated. Hebungen in this case would mean "lifted" and "elevation" ... well that's rhetorical. So why the difference in the same paragraph? Do they both mean the same (I beileve that they both mean "ST-elevation").
Am I missing something?

The standard term for this is ST elevation. There is no difference between the two phrases in real terms. Either way, an ECG (EKG) tracing will show ST elevation in the event of an acute MI.
I can only suggest that the author of the report uses the two expressions concurrently in German or wanted to avoid repetition.

It means the distance "up" from the zero level.
