German term or phrase: die Wandung zur Außenwandung .... in this sentence
In a patent for a tooth replacement crown / bridge:

I can't see to what "die Wandung" relates to.
Has it been included by mistake? It does not seem to appear in a very similar sentence later on.

My attempt (without the queried term):

which, with a notch projecting towards the outer wall of the primary crown, is inserted in an identically shaped notch recess in the outer wall of the primary crown in the desired position.

Maybe someone with a less frazzled brain can help?

it is about walls friction in telescopic crown

In my opinion (not an expert, though), as far as I know, a telescopic crown, the primary crown has two walls, the secondary crown has other two walls (parallel outer walls), and I suggest the sentence would like to say that the fixing friction between the inner and outer walls (primary and secondary crowns) occur for each of the parallel walls - therefore "die Wandung" zur Außenwandung.

Hope it makes sense :)
