German to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general)
German term or phrase: OA
Hi colleagues,

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with the following:
It's actually more than just the "OA" I need help with. It's the phrase "Daraufhin luftgebunden durch OA abgeholt.
This is part of what is mentioned in the medical history of a patient. This phrase is preceded by: In 5. Lebensstunde Tachypnoe und schlechte Saett. Aufnahme auf die Kinder-ITS, BK abgenommen, NVK gelegt, CPAP spaeter intubiert, PIP/Tobra begonnen. Im Echo, V.a. IAA.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi TDVTrans,

Apologies in advance that I can't give you a 100% answer on that, but at least I can help out with some suggestions.
As for the German medical abbreviation "OA" it can stand for Oberarm, Oberarzt, Oligoastrozytom or Osteoarthritis. I am assuming that in this context it might be Oberarm due to the echo and suspected IAA, but please check further if it makes sense.
