Die Pestsäule stammt aus dem Jahr 1682. In der Nische des quadratischen Sockels liegt die Gestalt der
"Pestheiligen Rosalia", den kurzen Säulenschaft bekrönt die Dreifaltigkeitsgruppe. Die Säule wurde von
dankbaren Bürgern, die im Jahre 1680 von der Pest verschont wurden, gestiftet.

Plague Column
You really are getting round Vienna, aren't you! The historical details given by other correspondents are of course correct, but please don't put the Pestsäule in the Cathedral. It's on the Graben, which gives on to St Stephen's Square.
