Explanation:
The machine is apparently a "forwarder" which probably "forwards".

At this site they seem to refer to one machine that looks like a skidder to me as both a "Forstschlepper" and a "Rückefahrzeug" ???????

The best site is this one where they finally come out and translate Rückefahrzeug = forwarder, but the machine is definitely not what I would call a skidder. -
