English translation: Print run (Press run)/Print run number

German term or phrase: Druckauflage/Auflagennummer
In relation to a number of checks a computer system does during production of pharmaceutical products:
"Auch bei den Packmitteln werden sowohl die Menge als auch die Auflagennummer der gültigen Druckauflage kontrolliert"
I've only seen Druckauflage in a newspaper context. Can anyone relate it to packaging materials? Some sort of labels maybe?

English translation:Print run (Press run)/Print run number
Explanation:
I think you should stick to the printing terminology as it concerns the packaging materials, which are mainly maid of paper, on which the name and other information about the medicine are printed

Lot / Lot number

Explanation:
I think it refers to the lot /batch number that is always printed on the packaging of medicines. Hence the obvious relation to the printing industry and my translation.
