German term or phrase: More menu trouble!
As well as the "Krüstchen" problem (which is served on toast and has nothing to do with "crust" or "crusty" in this context), can someone explain to me what "Strammer Max" (a cold dish) and "Schonkaffee" are?

Strammer Max/Spiced Ham Sandwich with egg; decaf coffee
Explanation:
Below is a link to the recipe I use. Has Dr. Wahrig ever tried on? :->
Anyhow, I would possibly let it stand as is or use Spiced ham sandwich with egg and cheese in parentheses. Schonkaffee is coffee which 'schont' as in 'to take care of', as decaffeinated coffee is not bad for your stomach.
Enjoy your meal.

steak tartare, decaffeinated coffee

Explanation:
Wahrig defines Strammer Max as follows: "<umg.> Scharf gewuerztes, rohes Schweinegehacktes mit Eiern u. Zwiebeln". I believe steak tartare is made of beef, though.

Explanation:
Strammer Max = A slice of black bread covered with chopped raw or cooked ham with a fried (or sometimes scrambled) egg on top. Schonkaffee = decaffinated coffee but sometimes also with acids removed so its not so hard on the stomach.
