German term or phrase: Deckensieb
In a list of modifications to a paper machine, one of the items is "Deckensiebverlängerung".
This (sieve, wire?) has obviously been extended or enlarged, but what is it?

My International Glossary of Technical Terms for the Pulp and Paper Industry gives liner for \"Decke\" as in Deckenpapier.
It gives sieve, strainer, and wire for Sieb.
Ernst gives screen as one translation of Sieb.

Deckenbahn = liner board
Decke = cover or top
So I have no direct reference for the entire compound word.

Thanks for the hint. It seems the reference is to the wire for applying the top layer of paperboard.
