German term
Zast
German to English
Bus/Financial
Real Estate
"Wohn. befr. Zast" In a table under the heading "industry". This has to do with a bank and the category to the left of it is "borrower".
Is this Wohnung befristete Zast? What the heck is zast here? If it were the tax, wouldn't it have capital letters "ZASt"?

Applies to bank account interest, bond interest, and similar income.
Note from asker:
I have heard of this, but the thing is that the table was referring to things in the U.S. just with some of the descriptions of what the American holdings pertain to in German, so I did not think that a German tax could be relevant to American holdings, or am I wrong? |

Comment: "I left zast untranslated as I felt this was not solved. Thanks for your effort in any case."
