"Quelle: Foobar & Foobar (1997) und eigene Darstellung"

I believe this simply means that some of the data was collected/compiled by the authors themselves. But something much briefer and more formal would be nice.

I ended up using simply "authors"as that is what is expected after "source". "Source: Foobar & Foobar, and authors." And, as is always the problem here, one cannot distribute the points among more than one respondant. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Ich verstehe es so, dass die Tabelle oder die Angaben in der Tabelle aus der genannten Quelle stammen, aber eben nicht ausschließlich, sondern auch eigene Modifizierungen eingebaut sind.

Das kann einfach heißen:
Modified according to / based on ... (ref.) oder
Source: xy, and own contributions

Surely, English native speakers will improve this formulation (but IMO the understand behind the words is correct).
