German term or phrase: Anlasstation
"Eventuell sollen Flügelfedern in der Montagelinie gewickelt werden. Der Platz für einen Wickelautomaten inklusive Anlasstation ist einzuplanen."

Could this be a warming station for heating of the wrapping material?

English translation:tempering
Explanation:
When carbon steel is hardened, either in oil, water or air it is also very brittle. Tempering it at a temperature much lower, than initial temperature before hardening, reduces the hardness by a certain degree. The steel can now be bend and it will return, without braking.

Thanks to you both - I have put in a query to the client's engineer on this one, and have not heard back yet, but Proz won't let me wait any longer to grade this. Both of you helped put me on the right track with this one. Thanks again!

Explanation:
(No hits for Anlasstation on AltaVista or Northernlight, regardless of spelling, singular or plural.)

In Brandstetter/Brinckmann and Siemens FWB Energie-und Automatisierungsgtechnik, _Anlaß/Anlass_...is consistently used in the sense of starting something (up), switching something on (which would suggest: starting/switching station). But Ernst also lists _tempering_ in word combinations. Does this, or the snonym _hardening_ fit your context?
