context: optimization of a heat treatment line for washers
"Die GA-Lichtschranke hat keine dünnen Scheiben erkannt. Dadurch kam es immer wieder zu Dauerkontaktstörungen der Massekontakte. Die Lichtschranke wurde auf eine 0.8mm Scheibe eingestellt."

The photoelectric sensor didn't recognize washers that were thinner than the specified value, and that resulted in repreated problems with the maintained contact of the grounding contacts???
