Tech/Engineering
German term or phrase: Meßtechnik
This refers to aircraft equipment, etc.
I thought to use the English term "Instrumentation". Does anyone know any better?

Yes, but..

Explanation:
one needs more context to be sure.
Beth's suggestions are good but could be overthrown if the context could say more.
'Instrumentation' seems wrong in all contexts though.

measuring technology

Explanation:
This is a more general term then "metrology" and covers all the various measuring instruments and methods. Metrology is actually more the science of measurements and weights, than the techniques used to accomplish this. "Instrumention" is not right, as it may include devices that do no measuring in themselves, but only report values etc.
