German term or phrase: chemisch aggressive Medien
This phrase is referring to fluids that are flowing through a pipe. I presume something like corrosive is meant by "aggressive" but the dictionary just gives aggressive which doesn't seem appropriate. Corrosive/other offers?

English translation:chemical corrodents
Explanation:
Whilst "aggressive" is certainly not wrong in this context, the Parat Chemistry dictionary by Wenske (good!)gives the following entries:
"aggressiv = aggressive, offensive (chemicals), corrodent, corrosive", and
"aggressives Medium = corrodent". Under "Medium" it also gives "Medium, aggressives (angreifendens) = corrodent, corrosive agent". On the Web (an AltaVista search in English, the commonest version is "chemical corrodent".
