LD/LC50 , EC/LC50 Explanation: LD/LC50 is the same in English. Refers to a test of toxins via oral, dermal, inhalation routes. URL below. EC/LC50 is also the same. 2nd URL uses it, EC looks like exposure control, also discussed. Reference: http://altweb.jhsph.edu/science/pubs/altex/altex99_3/altex99... LD/LC50 values, EC/LC50 Explanation: LD stands for lethal dose, LD50 is the dose that kills 50% of the experimental animals. LC stands for lethal concentration, EC as far as I can ascertain stands for effective concentration, the 50 is as above. Reference: http://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/chemicals/LD50.html |

LD/LC50; EC/LC50 (see below) Explanation: From the URL below and a few others, and from dictionaries I believe that LD stands for lethal dose (LD50 meaning that half of the organisms die when exposed);---that LC stands for lethal concentration; --- and that EC stands for environmental concentration. (Souces: Reuter & Reture, Medizisches W., Eichhorn, Langenscheidts FWB Biologie.) Reference: http://mstex03.mst.dk/199909pubs/87-7909-187-3/kap06_eng.htm... |
