Salpetersäure wird nach dem klassischen Oswald - Verfahren durch die Oxidation von Ammoni-ak an Platin - Rhodium - Netze (Katalysatoren) hergestellt. Bei hoher Temperatur (ca. 920 °C) entsteht Stickstoffmonoxid, das durch schrittweise ** Nachoxidation ** zu Stickstoffdioxid und dann im Absorptionsturm mit Wasser zu ca. 65 %tiger Salpetersäure umgesetzt wird.

il secondo processo di ossidazione lo renderei qui semplicemente con uno di questi aggettivi:

... monossido di azoto, che viene trasformato prima in biossido di azoto attraverso una ulteriore/successiva/seconda ossidazione a stadi e quindi in acido nitrico in una torre di assorbimento ecc ecc
