circolare di una grande azienda (CH) che annuncia il pensionamento di un collaboratore. Non trovo un'espressione che non sia lievemente offensiva (terza età, vecchiaia ecc. sono espressioni non molto indicate, almeno credo!)

"terza fase della vita" forse ? non mi pare un'espressione molto italiana (si trova in siti della CH, ma "puzza" un po' di traduzione)

abbinando l'espressione "terza età" a "della vita" quindi appunto "terza età della vita" mi sembra che l'espressione acquisti positività
