"Quai" ha anche un'altra grafia, cioè "Kai" che può significare "Uferstraße", "strada lungo la riva" e non è detto che sia solo "lungomare", infatti a Vienna c'è il "Kai" lungo il Danubio, ma anche "Hafenmauer zum Anlegen von Schiffen".
