Das Zellenbüro – Der Veteran unter den Büroräumen
So unattraktiv sein Name auch ist, das so genannte Zellenbüro lässt sich als Urtyp aller Büroräume beschreiben. Es war und ist auch heute weiterhin die am häufigsten genutzte Büroraumform. Zu beiden Seiten eines langen Flures angeordnete, geschlossene Räume bieten Platz für ein bis maximal vier Mitarbeiter. Die fensternahen Arbeitsplätze mit hohem Tageslichtanteil und natürlicher Belüftung machen diese Raumform attraktiv. Hier ist Vertraulichkeit gegeben, konzentriertes Arbeiten jederzeit möglich. Soll vorwiegend Einzel- oder Kleinstgruppenarbeit erbracht werden, liegen die Vorteile auf der Hand. Die organisatorische Flexibilität jedoch und die gestalterischen Möglichkeiten sind stark eingeschränkt. Informelle Kommunikation wird bei dieser Raumform eher unterdrückt.
