Ţinînd seama că "pennen" este o formă colocvială pentru "a dormi, a nu se trezi la timp", cred că se mai potriveşte şi "a nu-i pica fisa că-i Crăciun" şi alte variaţiuni pe aceeaşi temă. Ideea de bază rămîne totuşi a pierde momentul Crăciunului.
