Yo diría más bien ingesta, porque está claro que las sustancias acaban dentro del cuerpo humano (tras haberse absorbido en los alimentos). Digamos que absorción y similares necesitan complementos de lugar, pero ingesta no.

Por cierto, yo misma trabajé hace tiempo en un laboratorio con sustancias radiactivas y teníamos terminantemente prohibido comer y beber :)
