si es la única frase relacionada con Levi Strauss y los jeans, me inclinaría a usar simplemente esa palabra, por que me parece que el término de "pantalones con remaches" no es tan difundido en el español cotidiano como "Nietenhosen" en alemán.

Sip, lo traduciría, y justamente creo que esa es la caracteística de los pantalones, que tenían remaches, si ves las propagandas de los Levi´s, son indestructibles, puede que los remaches ayuden!
